These can be hold for any number of days starting from 1 day to endless holding, and can be sold whenever, may be the very next day or may be after 10–15 years.However, if you buy and sell on same day it is called intraday trading, but still it's under cash segment.

So, in cash segment, we have two kinds of trading, intraday and delivery based.
